Police in the Indian capital have briefly detained opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, during a protest demanding the resignation of the chief election commissioner.
An alliance of India’s opposition parties is marching to the Election Commission Headquarters in New Delhi.
Protesters are accusing its chief, Gyanesh Kumar, of manipulating votes.
They say the commission’s revision of the voter rolls has removed millions of eligible voters to benefit Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governing BJP.
